CHICAGO - November 9, 2007 - Signature Bancorporation, Inc. officially opened the doors of its second branch today in downtown Chicago. This new branch joins the headquarters branch located on the northwest side of the city.
Signature Bank announced earlier this quarter that it achieved profitability less than one year after receiving its charter and as a result decided to move ahead of plan on opening its next branch location at 191 N. Wacker Drive.
"We are obviously excited at the reaction Signature Bank has received in the marketplace," stated Michael O'Rourke, president of Signature Bank. "We are confident that a Chicago bank like Signature Bank will continue to fill a void in the community left by acquisition and consolidation of Chicago-based banks."
The bank considers a "Loop" location a natural progression for the bank's Chicago-area focus and strategy.
